HBLRO run several types of challenge events. The type of event and permitted entries will appear on the entry form, along with the times, date and venue where the event will take place. This keeps all the information in one place and enables you to know everything in advance, at the time you enter the event. Information will also be supplied on the HBLRO website regarding upcoming events.
The Club generally caters for two general classes of vehicles, ALRC and non-ALRC. Vehicles taking place in the ALRC classes (RTV & CCV) must conform to the Associations rules and regulations as well as those stipulated by the MSA. To read more about the vehicle and equipment specifications required for these events, please download the HBLRO Challenge Event Information Pack (available with advertised event). If you are not able to download this information, please contact the Competition Secretary, who can arrange for the information to be sent to you. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact one of the HBLRO committee, who will be happy to assist with any queries.
This years event has been confirmed for the 28th November. It will be held at Muddy Bottom, Minstaed, near Lyndhurst, Hants. Entries will be limited so get your bookings in!
Entry to the event is £55.00 per vehicle. Camping is available free of charge Saturday and Sunday. Site open for camping from 14:00 onwards on Saturday. Facilities available: refreshments,toilets, water, elsan.

• Each entry includes 1 free meal voucher for the site catering
• Minimum age for the navigator / winch operator is 14. Individual will still require an MSA affiliated club membership, this is for insurance purposes.
• Single entries – but you can pair up to help each other out. However, scores will only be counted on an individual basis.
• There will be 2 classes eligable to compete; ALRC RTV Class and Non ALRC Modified Class (Vehicles in this class do not need to conform to ALRC regulations). The ALRC classes will be based on the regulations laid out in the Associations Handbook. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each class, however, the Mike Wolfe Memorial Trophy can still only be won by an ALRC RTV vehicle.
• All drivers must have an MSA competition licence (Cross Country non-race Clubman) navigators / winch operators must be a member of an MSA affiliated club. Cards need to be produced on the day. For those navigators /winch operators who want to take part, but do not belong to an affiliated Club, they can join HBLRO as an ordinary member for £28. This will need to be paid when booking your place.
