Throughout the year the All Wheel Drive Club run a series of Competition Safaris. We thought we would travel down and take a look at the action as this event in Salisbury was only down the road. The day out was made even more interesting in that 2 of our members Karen Duffett and Trica Jacobs were competing in their ARC spec racer. 

Karen's Class 7 racer has recently had the 3.5 V8 and gearbox rebuild, this event would be a real test of just what the motor could do. After 7 grueling 6 mile laps the motor was still in fine fettle even after being put on it's side whilst negotiating a tight left hand corner.

Karen & Trica came 51st overall which is a great result considering this is only their second comp in this vehicle. Previously Karen drove a SWB standard Series III, but what this space as that vehicle will be racing again very soon.
